Limestone caves are the major attraction at Baratang Island whichcan be reached by boarding a boat from Baratang jetty and riding through the mangrove creeks for about half an hour. Once the ride is over, trek through the dense forest for another 1.5 kilometres to finally arrive at the caves. The massive structures which took millions of years to form will surely leave you mesmerised and you’ll find the long ride worth it. The most amazing phenomenon is entering the cave and exploring it. It is also recommended that you wear a good quality shoe and brace yourself, for the caves are slippery and dark.
